What are Revit Materials?
Revit Materials can be broken down into 3 main elements:
- Graphical— Appearance in non-rendered graphics. This is like the graphic standards architects have been using when producing black and white drawings.
- Appearance — How the Revit material will appear in renders. This is where you will spend most of your time tweaking materials.
- Asset — Material Appearance Asset settings is what Revit uses to find the visual appearance of a material. This is more of a management tool but understanding it is important to avoid complicated errors.
